July 14 and July 28 - City of Chester Council Meeting

Mayor and Council meet every second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 10:00 am in Council Chambers, located at City Hall, 1 Fourth Street, Chester, PA  19013. *The first regular Council Meeting of every other month shall be held in the City Council Chambers at 7:00 pm, prevailing local time, with the exception of April.

Chester's First Friday - August 6, 2010

City Hall is the place to be every first Friday of the month for music, food, dancing and just a good time with friends. Chester’s First Fridays, hosted by the City’s Recreation Department is one of the most popular events in town, with lines out the door. The event is first come, first serve, with no reserved tables allowed. Doors open at 7:30 pm. For more information, call 610-447-7784.

"Goods for Guns" - Saturday, August 7, 2010

Join Mayor Butler, City Council, Shoprite of Eddystone and Radio One, for the "Goods for Guns" event in Chester on Saturday, August 7, 2010.  In exchange for guns, participants can receive a $100 Shoprite gift card, limit of two gun per person. Stop by either Chester Fire station, 320 East 14th Street, or 1501 West 3rd Street on Saturday, Aug. 7 from 10:00 am-3:00 pm to drop off your gun - no questions asked, no ID is required.


August 28, 2010 - Mayor's 8th Annual Citywide Cleanup Day

The Mayor's Citywide Cleanup is scheduled for Saturday, August 28, 2010. This is the eighth year that the City will hold this Cleanup event, which is designed to promote a better quality of life and to encourage all residents to participate in making their city a cleaner, better place.  To volunteer or become a block captain, contact Donna D.
